This video discusses a mid-game analysis of the on-going correspondence twitter game between OnlineChessLessons.Net (OCL) and the ChessTweets community. OCL played an off-beat variation as white against the Najdorf involving Be2 and a very early g4. Black (ChessTweets) responded with an early 0-0 and allowed white to gain space with g5.

This video incorporates preliminary research (portrayed in other videos on the OnlineChessLessons.net Youtube Channel on this specific line against the Sicilian) that suggests impeding white’s early gain of space with g5 by the preventive move h6.

Continuing OnlineChessLessons.net’s analysis of the ChessTweets library, this video examines a game played between rodjul and the ChessTweets community.

Opening with the Four Knights Defense, white quickly conceded his light-squared bishop for advantage in development. White used this development to rapidly take control of the center, and the game quickly came to an end after the community blundered with 14..Ne4??.

Kudos to @rodjul for inviting this blunder with his tricky 14. Nh4! and congratulations to him as the first individual to defeat the ChessTweets community!

In the second game between @o0lit3 and the ChessTweets community, white opened with a Queen’s Gambit, and black responded with a Slav Defense.

This game is not a good example of a well-played opening, but mistakes on both sides resulted in a fairly equal, dynamic position. Black was left with a passed pawn on the queenside, while white was unable to develop a meaningful attack on the kingside.

A tactical skirmish left white up a pawn, however a draw was agreed on after delayed moves by white left the community handicapped with insufficient voting time.

Continuing OnlineChessLessons.net’s analysis of the ChessTweets game history, this video examines a game played between @nimixxxx and the ChessTweets community.

White opened with a very unorthodox sequence, and black responded excellently by trading the dark square bishops to completely expose white’s defunct positional strategy.

This game is an excellent reminder that You Can Never Take A Pawn Move Back! Also, black skillfully exploited a powerful, centralized knight against white’s overworked, light-squared bishop. A very nice positional victory by the ChessTweets community, ending with a tactical oversight/blunder by white.

This video examines a game between @o0lit3, the owner of chesstweets, and the ChessTweets community, played towards the beginning of the ChessTweets experiment, nearly a year ago.

White chose an interesting opening (the Center Game?) involving an early development of the queen to a somewhat exposed square on e3. Play continued with opposite-side castling, and white eagerly sacrificed a knight to open the H-file in an effort to create faster attacking chances against the black king.

Black accepted the sacrifice, but only after a few well-calculated intermediate moves. The ChessTweets community coldly repelled black’s attack and successfully achieved a winning counter-attack.
